Inspired by the customized graphics of the late 50s and, especially, Vietri artisanal ceramics, Mater – name that comes from materia, matter in Italian, which recalls the earth used to realise the neutral bases of the collection – provides a range of pleasingly tactile surfaces with great visual impact, where the glaze is the absolute protagonist.

The collection has recently been updated in terms of format and, from now on, it will be available in the sizes 15x60 cm, 60x60 cm and 120x120 cm. Combined with the two finishes and the colour palette, they allow to play with the elements, obtaining always new and unexpected combinations.

With the new collection, Patricia Urquiola realises an artisanal product with a material texture, both to the eye and to the touch, conceived to fully enhance the beauty of the surfaces thanks to the use of coloured glazes typical of artistic ceramic, which provided exceptional brightness.

With Jali, Patricia Urquiola provides a new modular terracotta brick, that allows for the creation of dynamic compositions, architectural elements and furnishings.

The collection has been presented at Nilufar Depot during Milan Design Week 2023, through an installation created by Patricia Urquiola for this occasion. A monumental and scenographic structure, entirely realised with the 3D elements in Nero, creating a meeting point and an immersive experience for the visitors.
